which is a better box

being new to this site i figured everyone could help me on a box my friend and i are trying to build. we are trying to build a slot ported box for his explorer but it seems we have a few issues on the design style. he chose to read the mtx spec sheet that says build a hatch back style ported box. do the angle of the box change the efficencey of the ports being that they are straight and the speakers are angled. or is a rectangular box better. this is very urgent being that we are to build the box in a day or 2

for best output results, usually in trucks, you want a 'CRX Style' box- woofer(s) firing up, ports firing back.
