Hi Ya'll!

I'm about done jacking around with my Pioneer AVIC-D2. It's display is touchy at best, and some screen controls just plain don't work. I've tried the recalibration procedure, but it still *****. There's a $75 service on eBay that claims to fix displays, and if that were the only problem, I'd prolly do it. The other issue is that the parking brake bypass somehow stopped working so that if I'm stopped in traffic, all the buttons light up, but as soon as the light goes green and i pull away, they dim back out.

I guess I'm kinda leaning towards getting a new unit, but there's too much information and choices out there to really know what to buy. Hopefully, y'all here are more savvy about this stuff than me.

Here's what I'm looking for out of a new unit in order of importance:

excellent display (especially for satellite radio and iPod)
front inputs for AUX and USB
parametric or multiple-preset EQ
enough power to run speakers throughout my Ford Expedition EL
reputable manufacturer
navigation (preferred, but not critical)

I'm not concerned about having so much wattage that the people's teeth in the car next to me rattle. I don't really care about the latest technology that figures out what music I like best, and plays it for me. Finally, last year's closeout model is fine with me. As long as it has what I want, it's cool. As for cost, I really don't know what to expect. I guess I'd like to stay under $400 or $500...the more the better!
