I've got the 4" Precision port from Parts Express and I need to make a 90 degree bend. I found a 90 degree PVC pipe at Home Depot that fits it **** near perfect. The only thing is, on the inside where the port tube meets the PVC elbow, it creates a little lip (like 1/16"). I'm afraid this is going to affect the airflow or possibly create noise, so I was thinking after I glue it together, could I just put something like bondo on the lip and sand it smooth? Any better ideas?

I really wouldnt worry about it, but if it bothers you then yes you could just sand down the lip a little. I've used 4" and 6" with 90's in them and never had a problem.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. However, if you do worry about it, it's nothing a Dremel can't take care of...

Yeah I might skip the bondo idea and just try to sand it down a little bit after I glue it together. It's big enough that I can reach my entire arm into it to sand it after everything's glued together

I'll most likely be doing the same thing in less than a week.
I need to update my build thread. :)

I don't even have a build thread :P
Can't really get started because the plate amp I want is still out of stock...and I don't have a router yet :P

You could chamfer an edge using a dremel if you had one. Or with some elbow grease a half mooned file. For me, Id get rid of the edge somehow someway.

I don't have a build thread for my vehicle either. Probably because I'm only running a pair of 5.25" comps on a Profile amp atm. My build thread is for a project I started quuite a while ago in my friend's Lincoln LS. I haven't added any pics in months...

Go to craigslist for a router. I picked up a porter cable fixed base for $20 was just missing a handle. And a firestorm plunge with a bunch of bits for $40 was like new in box.
