Walling the Jimmy

Im doing 2 18s in a wall in my 99 gmc jimmy. probably wont get the wall built for another week or so but heres the subs i just finished building.

Going to be
2 18s in 11.6 cuft with removable ports. 40hz for comps, 30hz for daily
Clif Designs 4800.1lx
1/0 welding cable(already installed)
250 amp Iraggi alt(already installed)
2 big 125ah batteries in back
XS Power VCM
4 soundstream carbon fiber 6.5 comps
Cadence TXA3004



for the subs I used 2 bravox edx motors, a dual 2 flatwound aluminum coil, 4 medium stiff spiders, 2 nightshade cones and some carbon fiber dustcaps that James (sub2weeker) made for me.

just test fitting the subs and box. what a pain to get that thing in there. was just .5" too big for my rear opening so i had to put it in at an angle and take my seats out and flip it upright in there

got the sides on and a first layer of resin inside

pick of the back. put in 2x4s today to add some bracing to the back. was getting some vibrations even with it double baffled and then a third piece of mdf that i mounted the amp to. gonna need to clean up the wiring alittle and figure out where im gonna mount my 4channel amp

still got to put in the comps and cadence amp but its coming along. should finish up this week or next

thanks. i like it so far. not sure how its going to meter though. sounds loud but i always seem to meter lower then expected

Looks nice so far. Bet it will sound good on daily tuned to 30 hz.

should get rediculously low. i didnt make the 2nd port though and this one ended up being tuned to 36hz

so got metered today.

149.5 legal
151.8 in the kick

bad day today for me though. i couldnt get my back batteries to charge at the correct voltage and they were barely at 14v. voltage was droping to about 12.5. when i was testing yesterday, batteries were charging at 14.9v and dropping to 13.8v. should hopefully get a little higher score with the correct voltage.

its ok but i have to roll the volume in or else it will protect with my subs wired at .5ohm

i was hoping 152. not sure what my electricals problem was today. havent had this problem since i put everything in. im gonna put some runs of 2/0 or 3/0 and see what happens
