(3) Sundown SA 8" subwoofers. Aero ported, tuned to 36 hertz.

Rabbeted, glued, brad nailed and clamped. :)

Here are a few pics of my current progress. I should finish up this weekend after the glue dries.

More soon my friend. There isn't much to look at until the subwoofer and port holes are cut, and the edges are flush trimmed and rounded over. ;)

looks nice and clean.....what happened to the rabbeting part of the box?

It is all rabbeted and brad nailed. Rabbets are along the edge, dados are grooves down the face.

so you're saying that rabbeting is kinda like rounding over the edges?.....btw what how much airspace are you givin them?

No, rabbets are grooves along the board's edge giving you two gluing surfaces instead of one. Google it. ;)

well i knew that they were grooves cut along the edges.....i just thought you were calling them somethin different....plus i couldnt see where you rabbeted in the pics, so i was confused

Oh, lol. The only way you can tell is by looking at how thin the wood is where it is joined. It is 1/2" instead of 3/4" because of the 1/4" rabbet.

I'm glad you like it. It came out very well. Should be a breeze to paint.

I actually did a half round over with a 1/2" bit. You can complete the rout with the full 1/2" bit if you'd like. I wasn't sure if you want like it too rounded.
