165A3 - Focal 6.5" + 4" Access 3-Way Component Speakers (http://www.woofersetc.com/p7028/165A3--Focal-65"-+-4"-Access-3Way-Component-Speakers.htm)

They are the 165A3 - Focal 6.5" + 4" Access 3-Way Component Speakers

The title pretty much explains my question.
Also, it says RMS 80 watts...Is that per speaker or for all three per channel?

You could do better with a good 2 way set.
If you are going to go 3-way, you need more seperation between the driver size than that.

What is it your after?

The only reason is because I have the dash speakers to worry about. I would like to keep 4's in the front. I can always just add a separate pair not in the component setup. But it would be convenient to buy them all in one package with the crossover.

How big can you fit in your door?

oversized 6.5 all around. Which is 6.75.

You would prolly ruin your sound stage adding a seperate 4" fullrange to a set of comps. You would have a big peak in those frequencies.

I would ditch the 4's all together and get a nice 6.5 set or try measure your doors and see if you can go larger with some trimming.
Are you just looking to fill the factory holes or is there a certain sound you are after? How it sounds should be more imortant than putting something there just because there is a hole.

I want good midbass, but I also want it to get quite loud. (not distorted loud, but a nice clean loud)
Also, should I run comps in the rear doors too or just a pair of full range speakers?
My budget for the comps is 300.

Mid bass is more install dependent. Read the sticky up top, it will give you some ideas. If you dont seal off the front from the rear you wont get any mid bass. That is a good place to start.
$300 should get you some nice comps. What have you heard that you liked? Didnt like?

Forget the rears. It wont make it any louder. I fought that one hard for a long time, but it's true. Spend that money on what you need to install the front.

I have some rsd's right now. I suppose they are alright. I haven't really heard any other comps. I'm not too sure on what to get because of this.

Focal usually makes some good stuff, but I have no ear time with that 3-way set though. Another thing with 3-way setups is that the speaker placement can have a pretty large impact on how it'll sound. It's a bit more involved than installing a simple 2-way system.
