in all honesty i don't think you'll get "good" midbass from a 4x6

thats what i thought but thats all i can put without doing major mods. so i guess im stuck with the 4x6s at least the highs will be insane!

4x6's front and back i'm guessing a GM style truck.....but a better description would be nice for options...custom kick panels can get you larger front drivers...Q-form makes them for most vehicles....

i have a 89 chevy single cab and yea its the dash mounts and behind head mounts.

i dont have the skill to do custom kicks and dont want to mess up door panels by trying and i would have to drill and put a gasket in my door jam to run the wire.

I have the Q forms and I was quite surprised how nice they are for the price. Put 2 layers of sound deadener on the back and they are pretty solid.
I purchased them as a temporary set up until it got warm again, but they look like the Yukon came from the facotry with them. Good buy especially if you dont want to build your own.

I have a silverado single cab and I bought Memphis m class 4x6 for the rears, they sound ok but I hated them...so I put some 6.5 components and have never hooked the 4x6 since then...for me it was a waist of money. My buddy has the same year truck as yours...but he made some mods to the door panels and now he has 6.5s on them...made a huge difference.

don't waste money on the 4x6's...the ones in the rear are a big waste of money...don't even hook those up...tie your money up in these..... Q-Logic CUSTOM Kick Panel Speaker Mounts Forms "C" Size : eBay Motors (item 370332871753 end time Feb-18-10 18:37:58 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Q-Logic-CUSTOM-Kick-Panel-Speaker-Mounts-Forms-C-Size_W0QQitemZ370332871753QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotor s_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item56398f2c49) deaden them as described above and get a nice set of 6.5 componets...it will give you the best sound and save you a lot of wasted time and money....

you should have the room to do 6.5's in your doors....

Go look on SSA, search member BigRank's build log. He has the same doors as you and built a pod to hold some midbass and a tweeter. Maybe you can get some ideas for your doors.

Or just buy the Qlogic and be done. SMD has a discount on his home page. 20% I think.

DO IT!
The door pods were my first time working with glass. Nothing hard about it, just a very slow process. I will prolly change mine up a bit when, if it warms up.
