yep math here is a pic where you can somehwat see the shape of the two side boxes. They barely fit in there with the mdf floor. had to shave the bolt that attatches the tail lights on cause they wouldn't fit in there cause they hit that like 1" bolt. the boxes literally hug the sides lol

Well, he'll like it

Whats the finish going to be

gsuchyta
02-04-2010, 09:01 PM
the floor is goin to be a medium gray leather all the littlle flush trim pieces a real real light gray suede. The two top pieces on the side the light gray suede and the top center piece gray leather.

Ya he will like it. Not much more to do on it other than upholster it and run some wires from the distro blocks to where the amps will be and hook it up.

You seem to be pretty **** good

Who ever this is for I hope they really appreciate
the work and the time put into this.

its cool and aesthetically pleasing, but the sound wave travel from the truck to the cabin seems minimal.

He stops by every once in a while and he likes it. Ya I like the paint too. And thank you for all the compliments. Also we have 4 6x9s in the rear deck but also cut two decent size holes out of it and I am putting the stock speaker grills over those holes so HOPEFULLY some pressure will get into the cabin

That is gonna rip the S@#$ outta the sheetmetal on the trunk. My 1 18" BTL in my 96 Impala SS ripped the sheet metal around where the hinges attach to trunk lid. It looks great I love 94-96 Impalas they have a bunch of trunk space. What year is it?

gsuchyta
02-08-2010, 01:28 AM
It's a 96 ss. And ya I've already had the sheet metal welded where it attatches to the those trunk lid swing bars on my civic and my box is facin into the cabin LOL. If that happens we will just have to weld some big plates in there

gsuchyta
02-16-2010, 10:13 PM
finished up the trunk and hooked up amps and put drop down screens in yesterday heres some more pics

http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh4/gsuchyta/100_0754.jpg

and here is the car. It's a 95 not a 96 like I stated before

http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh4/gsuchyta/100_0755.jpg

It is ****in loud. Especially the low notes just flexes everything. It surprised the hell out of me how loud it is. It's at least doin a 146 cause its louder than my car especially the lows. seems like the doors and everything on the car is about to fall apart. We should probably weld some plates on the trunk lid where the arms attatch cause that dam trunk looks like water on the low notes. I might get a vid of it soon to show yall.

system could be better

did you take it down to bare metal before painting? Sw a glimpse of some bare metal, bet that was fun

kodak314
02-16-2010, 10:20 PM
looks real good!!!

are those tvs back far enough?

gsuchyta
02-16-2010, 10:37 PM
ya I wish he would have went with better stuff but oh well it's still a whole lot louder than I thought it was goin to be. and yes it had so many paint jobs before the shop had to take it down to bare metal and ya it was a pain for them but they do really good work. One of the only places in austin that does candy. You can see the candy blue car behind it with the fifth wheel.

I honestly don't know about the tvs but thats where the cross bar was so there was no other place I could have mounted them. If I could I would have mounted them farther back.

Also the headliner is the same light gray suede and that **** is light. I like it tho

love how the power acoustics try to look like the fosgates

gsuchyta
02-16-2010, 10:43 PM
haha ya I didn't even notice that till you said it.

Now those amps have 5 40amp fuses so 200 amps of fusing each so I'm guessing around 2,000 watts each with good electrical

The amps are linked together at 2 ohms so the subs are movin pretty dam good.

why candy?

By any chance are you black? (nohomo)

He wanted candy so that's what he got. and no im not black.

Thanks. The same guy just bought like a 73 caprice that I am goin to do something crazy with like 6 15's or a 4th order maybe.

Nice build. Only thing that got me was what happens when his tail light burns out?

gsuchyta
02-17-2010, 11:53 PM
when that happens he will have to take out the two subs on the sides and then unscrew that piece from inside the box and take it out but ya I get what your saying that would be a *****.

whats funny is that if this was a wall with 4 15' forum boner subs and a ****** install with 0 gauge wire and battery's everywhere no one would say anything. Because its in a impala its a black/white/ghetto issue. You people are so funny to me, when this install looks cleaner then most on the first page of the install/build forum. good job to the installer

gsuchyta
02-19-2010, 01:12 AM
thank you I appreciate all the comments and like I said before I was surprised as hell at how loud it was and it just keeps gettin louder. I will try to get some videos up but the main intention of this car was not so much gettin loud but looking clean with lots of big ole moofers. I wouldnt be the least bit surprised if I can get a hair trick out of this car. I mean the **** steerin wheel wobbles on the low notes :). I squeezed all the cubic feet I could outa that trunk and I'm happy with it and so is the customer. This weekend it's off to another shop to get new carpet and all the reupholstered seats put in :)

02-19-2010, 02:02 AM

Why should it matter? People from every race have used Kandy paint on everything from streetrods to tuner cars

grimreper912003
02-19-2010, 08:45 AM
OMG get off that ****. We have stereotypes. They are right, the car has a gangster apperance to it. Who started that style? Black people. If it was a muscle car you would think their white.
