View Full Version : Question about Alpine CDA-9886 Auxillary Input

Hi Caraudio, I need your help.

I ordered a connector on ebay that allows AUX IN put using the Ai-NET Connector on the back of the unit. I tried to use this but no luck. As I read the manual, it looks like the only way to do Audio In is to disconnect the iPod adapter. Could anyone with this Deck please confirm this?

Did you turn AUX-IN on in the setup menu?

Yes, I turned it on and the option shows up when cycling through the sources. I'm wondering if I bought a bogus adapter because the user manual for this deck only shows a changer or other AI-NET device connected. Auxiliary input is only mentioned using a cable that connects where the iPod cable connects, of course you can only use one at a time with that configuration.

alpines website lists the kca-121b for the ai-net aux in adapter for the 9886.
