View Full Version : 1 roll 2"x50' DEI header wrap

I have one roll of 2" wide x 40' long header wrap. I had only taken a small amount from the roll to wrap up a clutch lever that was super close to the headers in my '70 Chevelle SS. The lever holds grease and the headers were melting the grease right out of it. This stuff stopped that! I don't remember exactly how much I used but it was def. less than 10ft. i think it was actually closer to 5' but i don't want to sell anyone short. it is tan in color. They sell for $45+ online.
$30 shipped

1 roll of 2" wide wrap is enough to wrap a 4cyl header and then some... or one header of a V8.

Let me know. if they are shorties, then this will be more than enough.

Yep...U think it will cover both?

Yes I do. If not entirely due to excessive overlap, you should still get 95% covered with 40ft of 2" wide wrap. A Pair of Shorty headers with a Primary length average of say...14" and a diameter of 1-5/8" will require ~75sq/in of wrap to cover completely. 75x4 tubes per header=300sq/in needed x 2 headers = 600sq/in needed. 2"x40'=960sq/in BUT when you overlap by 1/2" you will only get 720sq/in out of the roll. 720-600 needed=120 left over. Granted these are just rough calculations but it is possible.
You will have enough if the average of your primary tubes doesn't exceed 18" in length.
