This is a box build for a local guy here.

Box is 8 cubic feet, 35hz, double baffle (although no flush mount as requested), big *** dowel rod for extra bracing.

Driver will be an 18" Fi BTL. This is all going into a ford explorer (lol, gonna be LOUD)

x2 nice work so far, but why so big? Just curious.

Sad thing, is a box that size would drop pretty easily in my trunk :D

Yeah the first thing that popped into my head was, wow thats big. But I dont have any experience with an 18" BTL either.

Just waiting for the filler on the screw holes to dry, then one last sand, and paint goes on.

Double baffle on:

Sanding, sanding, and more sanding. Then, some filler.

yeah, this should come out **** nice.

I just wish it was a bit warmer out. I have a feeling the paint is gonna take a while to dry in my non-heated garage.

I have to get myself one of those router jigs. Box looks good. What kind frequency response did the customer want?

good question. He just wanted 8cu ft @ 35-ish hz.

Seeing as its going in an explorer, im hoping he wanted strong output in the mid-high 30's, because thats what he's gonna get, lol.

I just went and heard this in person, but i forgot my camera :crap:

Came out just the way we planned it, playing loud as ffuuu in the high 30's. He's got a ZX2500.1 pushing it right now, and he definitely needs to dampen the flex thats goin on in that exploder, lol

Always prime 2x then lay down your color.
