Radar Detector concerns

Want to buy a radar detector and dont want to spend over 200 is there anything out there that will do a great job or do i need to spend more money...?

Think of it as insurance. The cost of 1 speeding ticket can go well over $200. I've been using a Valentine V1 ($400) for the past 8 years. It's paid for itself dozens of times over.

find a used Escort Passport 8500, mine has never failed me. Try ebay and or craigslist.

Valentine 1's are good as well or better, but you probably wont find one that cheap...
