well had a sonotube for my room back at home, fit perfect in the corner behind my tv, but its too big to fit in the apt, so decided i was gonna build a seald box for it a while ago and moved off so i didnt have access to a saw anymore at work, worked a little bit over christmas and got these cut
tc 2000 12" S4ohm
500w bash audio plate amp
sealed @ ~1.75cuft

had a tube of spot putty i was using bust on me, so i had to just put it where i could before it dried

its been cold down here, so i missed some pics of painting and such, i hate working with paint, every little things shows, has to be perfect, i sanded forever on this thing

Looks good man.. What did you use for primer and paint? Some of the stuff ive heard ppl used didnt seem like it would come out good on mdf, but looks great

its automotive rustoleum primer and gloss black spray paint, krylon i believe from walmart
it looks good, not a awesome mirror finish but it looks good enough to me
sounds good, havnt really listened to it much, i still need some more screws for the plate amp to seal it up, been meaning to run to walmart to grab some
the insignia speakers for the money are awesome, look good and sound pretty good too, i have a definitive tech center, no rears at the moment
edit:this dam forum and its problems took this thread from 6 post to 20 of them

Very nice work bama. Just one question...why sealed and not ported? Did you round the corners on the enclosure? That TC looks nasty as hell.

just space, didnt want a 3cube ported box
i was going to round them but decided not too, dont know why
probably my favorite sub ive had, i love the look

finally watched a movie, hurt locker on BR, bass sounds awesome, way more than i need
im happy with it, i just like it sitting over there, im a sucker for high roll surround TC subs
where do u have the volume at on the plate amp?? whats the sub volume on your receiver also??
