I am building a box for my 1991 Honda CRX. Its is to contain 2 12" earthquake DBXi. the specs I have are 26w x 20d x 14h. I want the subs facing up and the ports facing the back hatch. I plan an butting the port in the center of the box. Any ideas on specs for the port?

If you do actually want to play music from it, do not tune so high. :p:

CRX's don't peak above 60 hz. As a matter of fact, they peak at 53-55 hz stock.

i was wondering... i didn't think they peaked that high but idk much about resonant freq of vehicles tho either.

what they're saying in laymen terms:

if you plan to compete strictly with vehicle: box tunning should be rather high (40+ hz) straight competition vehicles will tune to 55ish hertz and posts good numbers; the draw back is a large peak at the freq its tuned to and in turn results in a not very musical setup.

for daily use/abuse: tune in the 30's, dependant on tastes/music: anything from 30-40hz will result in a good daily driver( for the most part)
