View Full Version : Anyone ever calculate the exact displacement of a full length 6'' PSP AeroPort?

I am about to design a box 2 15'' RE HCs and would like to get to 8 cubes, 30hz, after displacements using two full length 6'' PSP AeroPorts but I am having trouble calculating displacement.

Anyone ever run a calc for this or have any guidance?

Help will be very much appreciated.

I believe he's asking for the volume of displace of the actual port.

That isn't exact displacement. You have to take the integral of the curve and rotate it around the z axis to get the precise displacement.

I have the exact number but I misplace it somewhere. It's been 3 years since I've designed something with it.

the extreme minor .000004579 cf dif will not make a bit of difference tho lolz

Yea, the displacement of the aero as if it were a normal, round port would be close enough because it'd be such a small amount off on airspace if you really wanted to factor in the flared portion

The difference is much bigger than that. I guess some of us are perfectionists. There are 4 variables that can never be dead on in an enclosure. Little things add up.
