ok everyone this enclosure comes to 4 cubes tuned to 38hz after displacements. it has 87 in^2 of port area. will be wrapped in either black or charcoal carpet when finished. here are the pics...

looks good but why do you have 22" of port per cube? you only need 12-16 max.

it works... I've gone even bigger than that with a port but there were some linearity issues that were speaker dependent

is a lot of port for daily, but I've done 20^2 with a DD and it worked out fine. Look forward to seeing how it turns out...

he isnt literally sayinf birch OVER mdf he is saying comparing the two he chose birch over mdf u get? lol
and a nice stain on the inside of poart with carpet would have looked cleaner

not my choice if it was me i would have stained the whole thing. he hates wood grain for some reason :confused: but i have it finished up just need to upload pics. he only used birch to save weight

yeah birch def looks better then mdf. thats what i did my no wall build with the two hdc315s with. very sterdy.

Birch is really becoming the favorite of alot people. I may try it on my next build. It is light though

Very light, my single 18" box of birch (5.5 cubic feet net) weight alot less than my dual 12 box of mdf (4.1 cubic feet net).
