View Full Version : Sub direction in a truck

I know this thread probably has been talked about b4, but all I c is replied post saying "do a search". I have done days and hours of a search now I am adding my own post.

The setup will be in a 07 Chevy Avalanche.

I am thinking 3-15s (Fi Q)(Sundown 3500D). Looking at the total cone area its easy to tell i'm looking to put up numbers, but i'm leaning more toward a (Low Hz) SQ setup with numbers .

I found plenty of installs with front firing subs in an Avalanche, but all i'm thinking when I see those is mucho cancellation.

Will pushing the subs 1 foot back an create a pexiglass tunnel be a better alternative to having the subs directly pushed up on the back of the seat?

Should I create my own prefabbed trunk made out of pexi (half of the Avalanche's cargo)and add 2-15s facing the tallies?

Found this article during my search - http://installer.com/tech/aiming.html

I liked the feeling of subs forward, port down. less "annoying" that way.

Three 15” will be a tight fit with port area too
