fyi: that is outdated..

You see, the myth that concrete drains batteries does have some historical basis. Many, many years ago, wooden battery cases encased a glass jar with the battery inside. Any moisture on the floor could cause the wood to swell and possibly fracture the glass, causing it to leak. Later came the introduction of the hard rubber cases, which were somewhat porous and had a high-carbon content. Yes Skip had a nice setup with the 4 Aq hdc3 12's and 2 amercan bass 500.1's. It had more in it for sure but it was a box built by bj fish and was mostly a daily box. It also helps skip has a very good vehicle to use LOL

cause it is obvious that you found what your truck likes an it works with your setup also you can't build a wall in a truck an expect for it to be loud you have to work at it. if you have a wall with some 18's an only doing mid 40's with yur setup its obvious its not a sub or amp problem but a box problem man. if your box isn't effiecient enough you won't do the score you want to do or expect to do.

Doesn't really matter which way you mount the grommets. What really matters is that you have the room to tighten the sealing end.

My Hemi didn't leave me much room so I put my round ends inside the dash.

So tighten the rounded end all the way?

Take off rounded part. Put the grommet through the firewall and tighten the nut. Then loosely put the round end back on. Then run the wire through. Finally tighten the round end (this part is what weatherproofs it).

I like these grommets, but dam...$6.50 each at cost and $8.99 retail?.

Not a chance I could sell these in the shop. I use the HELL out of pop-in plastic one though, I always put a ring of hot-glue on them so it bleeds thru the drilled hole and really locks into place.

You'll love the D9...its a great amp and you can really abuse the hell out of it. I've been running mine at .25 for a few days on a SS-XXX15 for testing and it's totally stable for burps and stable on music almost full tilt. It really comes alive under 1 ohm :)
