My cousin gave me an 8" 200W sub tonight, Could someone give me some numbers for a ported box that tuned low to like 38-32hz? and under 1 cube?
Im curious to see how loud i can get this thing.

Please and thank you in advance for any help.

It doesn't have a name on it actually. I think its a house speaker, From a home theater system or something along those lines.

um...
first off, its probably an 8 ohm vc configuration or something of the sorts...check that first

just build a box around .7ish cubes tuned to like 38 for a start

search the web man...its out there.

The length and size of a port determines its tuning frequency (for the most part anyways)

you pretty much want to design a box for an unknown sub thats probably 200watts max... I've got a transmission line design if you wanna give that a go.

Seeing how its hooked up to my house stereo, It sounds pretty good. I needed something to replace my Sr when it goes in my car.
