Can't wait to see this....what tuning and how much will you run daily?

jbizzle
11-28-2009, 05:16 PM
Was trying to do 35hz tuning but the port will be too long (longer than stock 18" psp 6" aero). Using the full 18" of the aero will put me @ 37hz with all 3 open, if I plug one I will be in the low 30s. Going to try it with one plugged for daily.

I just got back, its so ****ing loud!!!

151.8 @ 38hz, 150 on music @ 34hz on some chopped and screwed song.

Gain isn't up that much, I think one of them needs a recone already, loud slapping noise when I turn it up too much so it has more dbs in it

I'm very happy right now, so loud and drops low as ****!

I can say I have had the 6,8 and 10 spider pack from dd on my 9515's and I peak @ 39hz on dash sealed and 45hz in the kick door open and all spider packs did the same number. Only thing I did notice is the stiff ones seem to have a little better control at high excursion. So I dunno. That box seems small for 9500's to me. I like 2.75-3.0 a 9512 but thats just me. If your happy with it stick with it but I have noticed them being louder and lower in a bigger box. I understand if you were trying to stay below the window line then you can only fit what you can fit. By the way my buddy with 2 9512's on one m3 in 7 cubes was doing 154.5 in the kick @ 45hz in a s-10 blow through.Food for thought on the bigger box thing.Nice box and setup by the way.Sorry for the ramble.

With the pretty layer on it it's like an extra $10.. :crap:

Hell that ain't bad since an MDF sheet is $26 up here.

I'll see if I can get it around $30 2 hrs south is a 8 dollar price difference or sumthin like that so......maybe I'll build a box at my Uncles residence.

That is very unusual to me... I notice HUGE differences in SPL with different spider compliance on everything I've ever tested -- but I haven't tried DDs in my box yet.

Jacob, I think you should maybe do something about this. ;)

I'm pretty sure with the power you've got on tap you could feed DDs like they need to be.

*cough cough send JBou some 4500s too cough cough*

I thought about getting a few to drop in and compare. Might do it at some point.

Some people have no respect for other peoples property, which is why tire irons and assaults exist......

Yeah it was to me also but I can say I like the 8 spiders better for daily/spl use. Its stiff but not too stiff.
