View Full Version : Why can't we have an "iTrader" system?

At least one of the other forums I'm on (not CACO) uses the iTrader system...it's basically just an ebay-like feedback system built into the forum. I think it would definitely cut down on scamming...
Anyone got a reason why we can't have it?

75 is a bit much, but I wouldn't be opposed to a $20 membership fee...it would at least keep all the ******* spammers out. And if it would fund the itrader system, or possibly any other improvements then I'm all for it :)

why would it keep scammers out when they will scam on items worth 100s so 20 not much to them.

It would keep legit people out who are just looking to trade and try out different things. They would always be paying shipping on items to and from, but not making any money selling any other gear.

I said SPAMMERS with a P! Those stupid asshats that spam up the board with links to cheap Nikes or prescription drugs would stay out if they had to pay 20$ for every account...

doesn't matter, they still have to create accounts to post. If it cost $20 per account I'm sure we would see a huge reduction in that ****...

i-trader is a worthless system. it only works if the other person holds up to their end and leaves feedback. if they dont whats the point. the way its set up here works just fine having feedback threads

...the same thing that happens if they don't leave feedback here?
It's just an easier way to consolidate feedback and standardize it...I mean people putting who they've dealt with in there sig is useless...I could put a ton of names in my sig without having done anything with them. With the iTrader system, you can see feedback directly from that person all in one place, no hunting around for a feedback thread.

no need for searching for feedback threads. most people like myself have a link in our sig going right to them.
sure there are flaws with feedback threads but if you pm someone to check up on a ref you will get answers. never hurts to check on someone. the same goes for i-trader. it has plenty of its own flaws. people not leaving feedback. people being upset because someone didnt leave feedback fast enough for their liking so the other person leaves neutral feedback because of that. friends or the same person making up feedback for eachother up assumed names.
its the internet there is NO 100% way to be safe no matter who you deal with. unless you know them personally or have done many deals with them. even then things can go bad. online you are rolling the dice everytime you buy something. just have to watch your *** the best you can is all.

I know man, I know there's flaws on both sides, I was just suggesting it. It's really not all that different from what we do now, it would just consolidate all the information onto a neat page and give everyone a number (like a feedback rating). I didn't really want to get into a debate about what is better, I was just suggesting it...
Don't buy from idiots.
It's that simple.
