Samsungs usually have better blacks than any other brand, depending on what models you're comparing, they have good color reproduction and longevity as well.

Well, if yer willing to throw down a few more bones, my vote goes to the samsung, or this (1080p)

well maybe because after reading the reviews on wal marts website it says some **** about the sound quality sucking (which i really dont care about), but theres also some complaints about the screen going black

I have a 23" samsung 720p in my room, theres a 32" 1080p vizio in my girlfriends room, and a 37" 1080p vizio downstairs.

everything youve linked in here looks at least satisfactory. From the sounds of it, you arent looking for a superhuman TV.
Take your pick. The only one i would advise against is the sharp.

lol, well ive already got a blu ray player (PS3), so i dont really need to purchase the toshiba, unless i sell the free blu ray player

I have the 32" vizio 1080p set. It's unbelievably good not just for the price, but overall. Couple that with a panasonic blu ray player and you're good to go. Now obviously the darks are not as rich as they are on a good plasma, but for a LCD, you really cannot lose with vizio.

do you have an hh gregg close by? I bought my Lg 32" LCD 1080p/120hz for $600 out the door brand new. You can talk them down a pretty good bit since they are on commision and they have hella mark up on everything
