Well I swapped hu, and found out that my 880 is messed up. I guess my waaranty ended 30 days ago:crap:

In the ways I believe its somethin in the processor. Channels cut in and out, and the rca's seemed messed up and channels will work and then stop. I grounded my rca's too due to the pico fuse issue.

Well who can help me, or who do ay recommend? How much do ya think it could run?

I had the same deck with similar problems a while back(bought it used on craigslist for $75-guy did say it had no sound) I took it to a local old school electrician and he charged me $120 gave me 3 month warranty but the unit worked fine way past that time period...

Try cleaning off the metal connects on your HU and the base. Mine wouldn't even come on at one time and that was all that was wrong with it.

Otherwise, I know of a repair center in the Chicago area but I believe it's like 45 dollars just for them to look at it.

I talked to one guy that use to fix them, and he is not sure what could be happening. Places around me won't really help me. I'm gonna try and go direct to pioneer maybe, or it will be up for sale

Try these places Brah (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/portal/site/PUSA/template.LOCATOR_MAXIMIZE/?javax.portlet.tpst=97cc4cd26ba1192094dab3f552768a 0c_ws_MX&javax.portlet.prp_97cc4cd26ba1192094dab3f552768a0c _viewID=ascresults&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&vgnextoid=daacfa3602595110VgnVCM1000002567a8c0RCRD )

Also have you cleaned off the leads on you faceplate and that spot it connects to. Try it.

the leads? could you get a pic or tell me more? thanks, would really appreciate it. I would like to try it

and if I can't fix it with the leads thing, than I found a place local that will repair it for $125 max, and with 90 day warranty.

On the back of your 880, you'll see some gold metal connects. clean those with an an alcohol pad or something like that. I had an issue with mine that my face wouldn't even come off. When it finally did I cleaned off the connects and have not had that issue since. It solved an issue with the volume on the face not working sometime too. Like if I turned it down or up it would not work. be gentle with them and make sure they aren't bent or anything like that. Worth a shot before calling out for repairs and all that.

United Radio. /thread

They are the largest authorized repair center for most manufacturers, great place. Shouldn't be much more than $75 unless it's major...

Nah just dirt maybe. I thought the gold plated connects if they are were to prevent rust.
