hi guys. my friends and i are working on a project. we need to get at least 10 to 20 pairs of tweeters. but our budget is only about $20 per pair. i know some of you guys might consider these low end tweeters as garbage. but that's the budget we have. so what do you guys suggest?

we have seen some tweeters in this price range on ebay:

SOUNDSTREAM TWS.4 for $23
POWER ACOUSTIK NEO-40 (silk dome) for $18
MA Audio MA588 (silk dome) for $23

anyone has experience with these tweeters? are they any good? any other tweeters in this price range will you guys recommend? thanks!:D

These are probably going to be your best bet for under $20 a pair: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=275-030

They come in surface and flush mount variations. If you can up your budget to $25 per set, these Auras appear to be a great choice: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1767

these two looks promising, especially dayton. but too bad they don't come with grills. any tweeter with grill would you suggests? thanks!:)

Those Dayton ND20s are supposedly similar to Morel MDT-12s, which run for ~$60/pair.

Unfortunately, not a lot of really cheap tweeters have grilles. I guess they try to save on costs in whatever way they can.

What exactly is the project you're working on? :)

Zaph Audio called these Vifa's a "value-leader in its price range."

If you buy a bunch, they're only $11.79 each... and they have grilles :)

this vifa seems like a better choice, but it's almost twice as expensive as the dayton, and probably a little too big. we are installing them in small car doors.

thanks a lot for your suggestion:) i'll talk to my friends and we'll choose between the two, unless you have any other suggestion:D
