to fill in small gaps in on the front of a box is wood filler a good substitute for body filler?(first custom box)

I used elmers wood filler and it worked good for me, just takes a while to dry. Works good for filling screw holes.

cool yea im a newb to wood working so need to fill in tiny cracks between the boards thx

you can either use the wood filler as mentioned above or spot putty.....you can get both in small tubes.

Three steps to filling boxes.
Start with mar-glass
then sand and use bondo for smaller holes
then sand and use icing for the pin holes left over

thats if you want a perfect finish.

elmers wood filler works just fine. patch, dry, sand with sanding block, beer. :)
