View Full Version : Enclosure 95% done, Check it out.

Here is my box. I pretty much finished putting it together tonight. All I really need to do now is installed it and make sure it sounds good. Then I will take it back out and finish it with either carpet or aluminum diamond plate on the front and top.

It is going in an extended cab nissan frontierThe box is 4.2 cu.ft. tuned to 32hz. It will have 2 12" Type R's each running off of its own MRD-M1005.

I just need to figure out hows Im gonna run the wires to the amps. I have about an inch and a half between the last amp and the edge of the box. I may have to trim that edge off to have enough room to run the wires up the side of the box.

Tell me what you guys think.

Pretty neat. I used to have those amps. I thought they look better without the brushed covers on them. Maybe try it out?

Only one way to find out... lol. Thats why Im not going to spend the time to finish it until I know how it sounds.

Thats why Im thinking about using some aluminum diamond plate for the top amp cover. I'm hoping it will match the silver covers, if not I may take your advice and pull them off to see how they look.

It was also cut out on a CNC cutting table. Its nice not having to measure over and over again and setting up the table saw for different cuts. Just load up a cut list, throw a sheet of MDF on the table and then push the button. 10 minutes later you have a box ready to be put together. lol

I was surprised at the loudness when i did a similar box for a pair of w3v3 12s and for some reason the frontier likes the port up
