After my failed attempts to find a used oned with all the stuff I want, I have it narrowed down to 3. Please share any experience you might have had with either or which one would you prefer and why.

1. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17647_Combo-+Eclipse+AVN52D+-+AVN5510+%2B+BT-E500.html

2. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18455_Kenwood+eXcelon+KVT-614.html

3. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17374_Pioneer+AVH-P4100DVD.html

Top priority - Good Sq and sq control features, rest everything is adjustable.

Thanks.

1. I like.

2. Don't care much for flip-out models. Had three before I found one that wasn't garbage.

3. Friend has one. It's a solid hu.

I'd go with the Pioneer, but that's mainly because I've seen it in action and know it's a good head unit.

Pioneer double-din for $399.99 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PAECYE

ive owned two flipouts, then 2 DD's and after owning the dd ill never go back. both flipouts i had (pioneer avic n1, alpine iva d900) were cool for a little while, then after about 3 months the screens get loose. the alpine more than the pioneer. like after a while when your laptop screen gets slack in it, same thing happened to both flipouts. hope you understand what i mean. whenever you hit a bump the screen would just bounce back and forth.

what is your budget? i just bought a Kenwood dnx8120, refurbished off ebay for 700, and its my favorite DVD/nav unit by far (ive owned avic n1, alpine iva d 900, eclipse avn5435, and now the dnx8120) great eq, TA, 3 + center channel 5 volt preouts, navigation is great. has usb and since i bought it i havent put a cd into the unit since most of my collection is now on a thumb drive... its great. if nav isnt a want/need the DDX812 is the same unit just without nav.

good luck

If your mainly concerned about the sound quality of the unit i would choose the eclipse. It has more controls for adjusting the sound.

Is there an equivalent model of eclipse without navigation?
I think I'm gonna go with the eclipse.......it's biggest drawback is no usb but not a deal breaker.
