mounting help !!!

ok so i am finishing up a box i am making for some subs, its my first box made. and the holes to mount the subs are a lil tight, the very top edge of the subs basket scrapes the wood at a few points. should i sand it down more so the basket does not hit or is it ok as is?

if not re cut it out

sub seals like i said just a lil to tight to the point where it scraps the basket
