Ive got a Kicker CVR 15 that I just built a box for with 5.2 cu ft before sub displacement. It was in a crummy prefab box before and it kind of sounded like it was struggling to breathe. Since the new box it seems like I got a lot more out of the lows but seems to still be missing the higher end. It is running off of a polk pa600.1 amp. Do I just have bad equip or is there something that I should do to be able to get the higher parts? Hope I didnt sound too ignorant trying to explain that.:crap:

but the RMS power range for that speaker is 100-500. Or am I completely misunderstanding the ratings.
Honest question. I am still pretty new to this.

At 5.2 cubes sealed that is plenty of power. Remember handling decreases with > box size ( sealed ) so it should be fine.
Download WinISD and plug in your settings to see your box frequency response. Personally I think 5.2 cubes sealed is a little big ( almost like Car IB ).
You could always get an EQ and adjust the response curves to flatten it out.

.........5.2 is a little large........i have 2 15's in 4.7 sealed..........................2.75 cubes is what i'd start with
