well, my mom finally just blew the 6 1/2 co-axle Xplods in her doors. She has those and 3.5" home audio tweeters in the dash. Now that its time to replace them all I would like to put component sets in, but she is at a $100 absolute limit.

She will only buy new, so no eBay or classifieds (sorry guys)

They need to be able to take about 100rms daily.
So, what do you guys recommend?

Maybe I wasn't clear, I said 100 rms... I meant each not combined. The PG RSD's only show 60rms each so either they are under rated or...?

edit: I see you say a little under, can they take 100rms daily?

The CDT Audio CL-S60A comps can be had for 99 bucks shipped. I run a set of these and they will make you fall in love with the way they sound. The tweeters are really soft and smooth, the midbass is kicking and the mids are extremely detailed.

Can they really take 110rms?

I was thinking about a set of Infinity Reference 6020cs's My brother ran those in his car when he did a lil over 156db on the TL with 3 12's

I loved the sound of them then and I can get a set for $117.00 + shipping.

yes they can take that power with no problems, you can also get the CL61A CDT set, they take 130 rms.

All I need is something that can take about 100rms and do it all day long without problems and keep it under 120 shipped preferred.. but I know that's not the easiest thing to do lol

So your mom managed to blow them with a Wal-Mart amp? :wow:

Might want to also look at sensitivity ratings.

Infinity Reference for a system that does 156db =
