Hi,

Just wondering if anyone heard the Polk MM series speakers. There are no places that have these within 100 miles of me.

I listened to the Polk DB 2007 series and they sound very good, just slightly less impressive than the Focal CA1 line.

Was wondering how much better the MM series was...

Thanks as always!

I thought polks lower line of comps where ok for the price.
which set are you looking @ 651 or 6501??? $189-$329
not sure what the difference is but for that price range i would look @ other companies, like Image Dynamics, Hertz, Morel, Rainbows,etc....
dont forget to add deadener to that list.

They are supposedly the updated version of the MOMO series...

I traveled 250 miles round trip to hear them today - VERY nice... :D

The original MM MOMO comps are much better quality and sounding. When DEI took over Polk a few years ago they lowered the quality so they could lower the prices.

I run a pr. of 6x9's and the inline crossovers they send are garbage. I swapped them out for some PG crossovers and have been putting roughly 200 ea. with no issues.

I had a set of MMC525's and used the midbasses solo, they hit great for a 5.25" driver. I never used the detachable tweeters, but I hear they are bright.

I wouldn't drive 250 miles to pick up 250 dollars if the money was free
