Sorry for having 2 posts within an hour but was looking into the Vifa 6.5 coaxials on madisound and was just gonna run cdt coaxials but if these sound good I wouldn't mind spending $12-20 a piece.

Those won't sound ANYTHING like CDTs that cost 10x more.

you are crazy.

Don't even bother with COAXIALS.. waste of money imho.. just wait and go with components.. seriously..

You know what if you are going with coaxials I wouldn't spend anymore than that $20...

You need to do quite a bit of work on your doors and run a good amp to make CDT components worth it..

If you have the money tho.. buy the CDTs and upgrade your amp and modify your doors later..

that good or bad?

Depends on what you are looking for...

If you put some work into your doors those could sound just fine for your needs..

Depends on if those tweeters crackle and pop at high volumes and how much bass (mid) you expect out of them..

I just have the factory stereo and factory amp in my acura tsx. I'm gonna go all out deadening the car but am not gonna get crazy with speakers again, just looking for a replacement that will sound bit better than stock.

Do you know what the specs on your current system is? Speaker wattage, ohms?

Upgrading and staying with stock amp can be a pita..

No idea on wattage, i'm assuming 4ohms and no point of running comps since there gonna sound like crap with lack of power. I was just looking to see if the vifas would sound good with the factory amp.

I'm gonna pull the trigger and get the $12 for my rear doors. If they sound good i'll get them or the $20 vifas for the front. Its only $34 bucks for the pair with shipping so if they **** oh well.

This is an audiophile truism, look at the guys spending $1000+/ft for speaker wire.

These should be fine. CDT tweeters are garbage until you get in the higher end ones, which are just inexpensive Vifas re badged as CDT.

In my experience, the only things good that CDT ever had were the high end components and the SQ amps made by Zed.

OP, where in NY are you?

Yea I have the ES6.5 comps in my subaru with the cdt 5.25 coaxials and they sound very good but of course this setup is amped. I was just looking for something to replace oem stuff since i'm gonna have all the panels off for deadening.

I'm in Middletown, NY.

did, anyone try these yet?

I was thinking of grabbing these for rear fill in my car. Just powered off the deck. I dont really wanna spend much money on rearfill. I already got iD cxs64's in the front

btw.. are these prices per pair or for each speaker?

I have the cheaper ones... got them for $9 each at the PE tent sale...

They do their job, great sound for the price. Really just great factory replacement speakers.

Mine are used for rear fill. Used them off the HU for a few days, now they're receiving 40watts per via a small 4channel. I couldn't really ask for more out of them.

Thanks ^^ Finally some input on those.

Would u still suggest I buy em if they're gonna end up costing me ~$50 cuz its $15 per speaker, so $30 for a pair, then maybe like $20 for shipping

or am I better off just looking for some used Coaxes here?
