I'm still somewhat a noobie to car audio, so bear with me.

What would be the ideal Ported box size, tube size, frequency, etc. for a Type R 10"?

The sub is currently in my custom built sealed box (.7 ft^3) in which the sub performs perfectly, but from what I've gathered a ported box may better better suited for the sub, plus I'm looking for some more bass.

Crutchfield.com says the "optium" ported box size is 1 ft^3 with a 12" long 3" diameter port. This seems small to me.

As far as frequency goes, I don't have the slightest clue what I want. Just whatever you guys think is right. Anywhere between 28-32hz seems like a good number to shoot for. I don't know, you tell me whats good.

I just need the cubic feet and port size. I can determine the dimensions and such myself. I know that you subtract the port tube and driver displacement volumes from the internal volume.
