The truck had a mis to it, so replaced all the plugs and plug wires, rotor button, dist. cap, coil and coil wire.

Still missing, but there is an arc between the coil wire and the metal bracket for the coil. So took the coil back and got a new one thinking it was a bad coil, it still doing the same thing. Took it back once more and got a new one, still same problem. Put rubber between it, but the arc is still jumping.

What could it be?

the end of the coil wire isnt shielding the current correctly. try to slide the coil wire boot some to fit the coil better.
any pics?

Checked the boot, seems to be covering it well.

here is a video of what it is doing. I recorded it with my cam. phone and converted it with a program, so there is a watermark on it and the quality *****

was that the coil wire or plug wire arching? if its the coil wire, eaither the wire is defective or the coil tower is cracked or has a small hole. if its a plug wire, eaither the wire is defective or the porcelin(sp?) on the plug is cracked.
may aslo be that the wires are too small/thin as well.
