Was wonderin if someone could help me out. I mocked up a box, but was wonderin if someone could do somethin nicer.

Dimensions I have to work with are:

36" wide x 22" deep x 16" high

I will be recessing the sides to tuck carpet 3/4" on each side, so really the box can only be 34.5" wide.

Will be runnin about 4k to the subs too, using (2) hifonics 2008 amp

Thanks;)

I know they like alot of space and power... It will prolli do pretty OK w/ a lil less than 2k from those amps, but they really come alive with like 2500-3k each.

Doesn't look like you'd have enough room to do so, but I built a box for a single 12" XXX(3ft3 @ 37hz) and it absolutely slammed. He had an RF 3000bd on it and was one of the loudest daily single 12 setups i've heard.

yeah I've never played with them, but I'm just building the box for a guy.

RE's sight says optimal is 2.2 @ 34 ish hz per 12

He's got an easy 5.5 cubes to work with... figure can come with a 4.5 cube after dis.

What tuning do you reccomend and how much port area per cube?
He wants it to murder the lows, and have grea output....He's firing the subs to the cabin, and sealin off the trunk. Should be nice

yah that 2.2 is super conservative

you should run those in the low to mid 3's per sub

thats my opinion.

ill do a design for you though, get at me through PMs.

I think round ports are more more sealed off trunk friendly. You need to seal off the
rear deck too.

round = more money which his friend doesnt want to spend.

would be better to get the tuning that he wants too.

a lot better

get your boy to pony up some cash to make this happen.

a pair of 4 inch aeros or a 6 incher would do the trick.

seriously
