I built a box for a 12" type e thats ported. the air space is 1.72 and i tuned it to 41 hz. How does this sound like it will do?

i have never used that sub before, check out alpines website and see what they recommend for ported enclosures. I would tune it lower since it is a SQ sub.

Peaky, most likely. To lower tuning, you'd have to lengthen the port.

A lower tune will yield a flatter response over a higher tuned enclosure...

well rite now im giving them 1.78 each in the ported box which is what is reccomended for the max on sealed enclosure. The reason i did that cuz i based it on a past post i searched for when u told someone to build a box on a type R. This is my first ported box so im learnin here

what if i did this, i have one port in there rite now thats 11 inches. What if i added a another port that was 11 inches? That would tune it down to about 29 hertz, can u do that or does it all have to b one port
