I am starting a new build and I wanted to get some recommendations on mids and highs. I am some what of a SQ guy but this setup is definately geared towards SPL. I am planning to Compete in Bass racing events this summer. I am running two Nightshade 18's in a 4th order bandpass powered by two Saz 3000's. My car is going to be loud! and I need my mids and highs to keep up with my bass output. I have two ways I can go mids and highs so far. I can either go pro audio mids and highs or multiple comp sets. Since I already have two pair of morel tempo 6's that I can run, I can just add another pair or 2 and call it a day. I also have two pair of AA polys a pair of Css 125frs and vifa tweets that I can run active. I would probably try to find another pair or 2 of the AA polys and another pair of Css 125frs and vifa tweets and call it a day. I really don't want to run pro audio mids and highs but if they are my best option then I'll do so. In the front doors I was thinking of two 8's or 10's (midbass) two 6.5's (midrange) two 1" tweets(highs) I would invest in a DQS and EQ the hell out of those mofo's. Any suggestions or input would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

I do bass race and street beat in an Astro van. I run 8 10" pro audio (cheap) speakers in my doors. They have the old school Audiocontrol EQTs on them and they sound pretty good for bass music. They're not going to win any SQ comps but I'm happy with them.

Were working on my van with 24 15s and it needs some serious highs to keep up with the bass (upper 150s legal on music). When all is said and done Ill have 16 mids and 16 highs.

If I were you, this is what I would run.

4 10s, bridged on a 4 channel

http://www.woofersetc.com/p6720/ZXi-8408--Hifonics-880W-4Channel-Amplifier.htm

4 6s (4ohm each) on 2 channels of a 4 channel @ 2 ohms per channel
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=290-399

8 tweeters on the other 2 channels. 4 tweets per channel @ 2 ohms

Run the 6s and tweeters on another amp just like the 10s are on. Something like that would get rediculous. Probably even drown out your bass. ;)

My boy suggested those beta 10's heck if my doors were big enough I would do 12's but anyway I have these amps for mids and highs Jbl PX300.4

Yeah, I have 2 Delta 10s, 2 Alpha 6s, an Alpha 8, and 3 Selenium ST350s in each door. Those Deltas are so deep and my doors were so shallow it was a pain to get it to fit.
