Hi everyone. Figured I would post a newbie thread for myself here. New to here, but have been in the car audio scene for approx 25 years. I have 2 classic cars that I am working on.
One is a 1972 Honda Z600 with a 34-inch subwoofer. Very time consuming...
The other is a 1962 Corvette that I have been working on for about 1.5 yrs.

I collect mainly pre-1995 car audio and have a very, very, large collection of classic car audio. Former audio repair tech, and have been collecting car audio for a long time. Early Zapco and Fosgate are my favorites. Anyway... Just wanted to say hi and get the 1st post over with...

The Honda has the Audiobahn 34. Same as the Cadence 34. Seems like Cadence took up the 34 after AB shut down. I haven't touched the car in 5 weeks or so. Will get back on it soon.

I have a pair of the Clarion 32's also . They are very, very, loud if you have them in the proper box. Most installs I have seen of the Clarion 32's are too small, or too large of a box. Kind of gave the 32's a bad name... Put them in a proper box and you can do hair tricks, no problem...

I dont know how typical a 32" woofer would be, just what size enclosure have you found best for that size woofer? I'm very scared to ask.

I remember the thread about you, you have some simply amazing equipment, and I applaud you for that.

I will make a thread in the build log section of the Honda (with pics, video, ect) . Will do so soon.
I have a lot of pics on photobucket of the old school car audio I collect. Will be looking for the old school thread (is there one here? ) , and fill it up with pics too...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone...

tomtom, check first page of this thread, post number 7. RyanM linked you to the thread he made about your collection.

And there's always a welcome for people with old school products - - - and be prepared for the offers you are going to receive to purchase some of that merchandise :)

The Clarion's are not overly large. But takes very little power to run. About 250rms.
The AB 34 is huge and is power hungry. Unsure of the magnet size , sub is very heavy. Specs on the internet say 640-oz. I think it is a lot more. Took 3 of us to put it on a shipping scale and it shows 211-lbs...

By the way, tomtomjr - - - this is quite possibly my favorite picture in your log.

Is Mike on here? Talked to him yesterday. Being in RI, he is off by a few hours and woke me up saying something about Fosgate this, that, ect... And with that annoying accent of his, I couldn't get back to sleep.

Thanks for the welcoming ... I get a lot of offers for my stash. I mainly trade things off that I have doubles of, or have lost interest in. Sell very little. Thanks for the heads-up...
