Finally after almost three months of waiting it has arrived.
Now I put it in my trunk rear firing in the eD box 2.2^3 @ 30 Hz.
But I'm just not getting the bass I was expecting.
I tried moving the box around firing it diff. directions and its getting 1k watts.
So would building a new box ported to say 45 Hz help my problem?

u can tune it a little higher, ide say 45 isnt good though, it will just sound like sh*t, ide recomend about 37 hz, that should really help.. but 45 is like competition..

How about 38 Hz? Becuase I just finished my new box 2.7 @38 Hz Just waiting for the caulking to dry.

yeh, see how ya like it..

Yes 2.7@ 38 Hz is quite marvelous.
In regards towards an SPL comp box what are you recommending?

i wouldnt recomend competing with the A's, or at least dont give them to much past their RMS.. but tune to Resonant freq of ur car..

People were having problems with the VC formers popping off the cone with the initial batch of 15A's...that's no longer an issue with the new batch...
I know of some that are giving their 15A's around 2.5kw with no problems...
As for a comp box- I'd say try maybe 4-5 cubes tuned high with about ~100 in^2 of port...

Yea if i end up competing with this bad boy its only going to see max of 1200 watts
I think this weekends project is gonna be a box 4-5^3@60 Hz or so.

Have any of you tried the vented box recommended on their website? I built that for my 2 15As first and I really liked it. It looked a little sloppy so Im running a prefab box now and hate it. I think i decided to build a new box and quit messing around. I have winISD to determine voume and port size/length but how do I determine the resonant frequency of my car and what is the benefit of tuning to this?
Oh...and one of my As is back at ED...Cone poped off the former. You know I got the first batch!

you got to get the resonant freuqency with a mic, or search for peeps with the same car as you who have tested it out before.

cant I do it by ear....I guess I just dont understand what resonant frequency is or what it will do if I tune my box to it?

well, it wont be accurate...
and what sounds loud to the ear might not be so to the mic.
If you want to do it by ear, use a sealed box, send a sweep sign and determine which tone is loudest, enough to rattle everything inthe car. There ya go, Res Freq.
