you are going to ask for our advice and not offer a model number?

I like my pioneer f90bt. Actually, i love it.

Out of the box, it has some things that need to be worked out (update the firmware, the ipod cable that comes with it is crap, but apple makes a nice replacement)

after you get those worked out, its an awesome unit. All the bells and whistles in one package.

there are settings on your pioneer GPS to choose quickest path, most logical path, no highway path, etc etc :fyi:

X2

I have found my pioneer to be farily accurate but can be a pain in the ***!The best thing is it has 12 million POI's which is way more then most handheld/dash mount models.

I heard Pioneer's GPS is horrible and the entire OS is very laggy. Thats just what I hear though. They can't be that bad seeming as how lots of people rave about them.

Takes time to load between screens. Like scrolling through songs and such. What I heard may be for a specific unit though. In fact they might have already released an update correcting the problem.

Yea the F series ****, I personally think that they are the worst thing pioneer has ever made.

just alot of bugs in the pioneer units, flex cables breaking, screen needing recalibration (n1's had to be sent to pioneer to fix) and costing 200 bucks a pop to fix. honestly i liked my N1's nav a little better than my eclipse nav, but when it comes to audio options i think my eclipse has it beat.

with that being said im currently selling my eclipse for one of the new kenwood units. i love the eclipse just want a change and i hear the garmin is great. plus the DNX8120 seems to have amazing audio options. better than any other DD to my knowledge.

I had the same problem with all of my previous Pioneer nav units. I would enter a route, and it frequently would take me the long way, which would actually be okay if it even got me there at all.
