the L1 Pros look to be some awesome tweeters. I would love to hear a HAT comp set.

I have heard the L1V1's and the pros. They both are awesome. I was going to buy the L1v2 until I found my Helix set.

many high end tweets are expensive. DLS Iridium and Nobellium, Morels, Scanspeaks, TBI, etc. $200+ for a set of tweets is pretty common in that range.

Magic SQ pixie dust isn't cheap to manufacture.
I've never used the tweeters, but I did use the L3s for about 4 months and while they are very nice speakers, I can understand why it's hard for most to justify the price.

Very good tweeters, plus Scott is great to work with if there should be any issues.....
I know I had to "modify" my L1's and spoke with Scott before doing so to see if there would be any complications with warranty, I told him what I needed to do and he responded with he would still warranty them if a problem should ever arise...
I like my L1's more than my Dynaudio MD102's

I got the L1v1s and enjoyed them alot. Very smooth and did vey well for such a small format. So small that they could easily be installed in stock locations with the grill removed.

you were almost the most detailed when describing them :p: Why is everyone so general when describing certain speakers?

I just picked up a set of L1's and L6's but I won't have them installed for a bit. I think they don't recommend crossing them below 4khz so something to keep in mind if ur midwoofer doesn't have that range.

I owned the old version L1; not the pros. I didn't like them. 'Sterile' is the word I'd use to describe them.
Owned the L3, too and just wasn't a fan of the sound. Same word to describe them.
I would like to try the l1 pros though just to see if anything's changed.
I will say that the support from Scott is first class. If I were buying Hybrid, the majority of the reason would be that Scott stands by his product and is always there to answer questions about installs.
