used http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html

calculated these diminsions
width: 46
height: 18
top depth: 14
bottom depth: 14
square port width: 3.5
square port length 2: 10

if you put those diminsions in turns out to 4.4 cu ft at 33 hz

i'm doing a sub up port up design for a ext. cab ranger
any input would be appreciated before i start my build. thanks!

is it too much port area for a single 15"? its going to have 1100 watts running to it but i might upgrade to a bigger amp soon

You might want to re-consider the sub up port up unless you want less than max performance out of the sub. I just finished a nice box done that way that ended up not doing what I really wanted and I have 3500 watts going to it. If I were you I would do sub up port to the driver side for max output, trust me my AQHDC315-A with 3500 watts sounds like my old Alpine Type R 12's on 1600 watts with it sub up port up...dissapointing, but hey MDF is cheap! LOL!

well i had one port forward sub forward and it kept breaking screws, how would the port diminsions change if i were to do port forward?
