View Full Version : sealing off sub air leaks?
Unfortunate

I have alot of air leaks coming from the trim/gasket of the sub so i want to line it with something underneath.
I tried one sided high density weather stripping but it was too thick and didn't give as much as i thought it would. Put too much stress on the screws so i took it off
Anything other than tape on the outside of the sub?

Thinner weatherstripping or felt.

Duct tape or gorilla tape... Lined how the competitors do to seal it.

They're brand new only a few hours play on them i hope i don't need a recone.
Pretty sure its air escaping from the gasket though.

Get some gasket tape or rope caulk...
