Box Building tips for Kickers

Hey right now i have 1 kicker comp vr 12 and am wanting to build a box for it and do it right :D
That's y i'm coming to you guys hehe.
I would like ideas on size for box, I prefer it to sound higher quality and i like to mostly Alternative, rock and rapcore music.
Should i go with a sealed or ported? would be first question and size would be second.
I drive an extended cab tacoma so i don't have alot of space but could use up back seat if i have to, thanks for the help.

is there a site where you can type in how much cubic space you would like and maybe like a length and it'll tell you what size you can use?

also would 5/8 MDF be ok or would i need 3/4" with this (trying to keep box small as possible) i will prolly try to do about 300 RMS to the sub.
