Some Dayton drivers and 100 ft of speaker wire For my Tritrix towers. Just got done building my first crossover, took me about an hour from start to finish. Hopefully I did them right. I'm cutting the wood for the towers tomorrow.

I took some 3/4" MDF, put it vertically, and tapped a screwdriver with a sledgehammer to split the MDF in half to make some 3/8" MDF. Then I just zip-tied a few of the components, and will silicone the rest when I pick up some silicone from HD tomorrow. I'm also going to trim the excess MDF off the sides.

Future plans will be another pair of towers for the "surround" sound and an Onkyo TX-SR606. I've already got a JBL GTO 15" in 5.5 cubes on a 250 PE plate amp and a 50" Samsung plasma.

It ***** when you only have enough clamps to glue one piece at a time. Along with doing all of my cuts without a table saw, it makes for a long and tedious process to build boxes.

where did you get the crossover design and calculations?

I think that is one of the PE projects you can download.

I used those same 5.25" drivers to build these. They sound awesome for a low cost mid!

Nice, I wish I had the cash to spend $500 on mids.

Honestly, crossovers look more intimidating then they really are. My first crossover was wayyy easier to build than my first box. I'm not gonna be getting these done any time soon because I don't have any router bits and I'm going to be heading back to college in a couple days.

When I'm done, they will be black with a yellow face to match the room (the room is yellow), and all the edges will have a 1/2" roundover.

 More info? I'm going to purchase another Recession Destroyer package for the surrounds for $120, but I'll need to buy some individual drivers to complete the center channel.

Primed/painted (it's light-yellow) the table to match the room. 5.5 cubes tuned to 17 hz with a 4" aero, houses a 15" JBL GTO on a 270 watt plate amp. The camera seems to show some imperfections in the paint but in person it looks flawless.

All I got done today :( I'm a slow worker.

Nah, I'm back at college for now. I won't have time to finish these until this summer.

As far as finish, I'm going to be doing a lot of sanding, primer, and paint. They will be black with a yellow face (to match walls and subwoofer box/table) and 1/2" roundover all around. Should look good.

you will love these. I built these in August for my bedroom (11x12ft), and they sound awesome.
Heres how mine turned out.

You should rethink how you have placed your inductors.

It looks like example 7 doesn't it?

How else should I arrange it if that's incorrect?

You should be fine.

Note the difference in the coil orientation between 5 and 6 (not considering the distance). Your coil is somewhere inbetween, but it would be better if it was like 6.
