hey guys out there who design i have a question. have you ever designed a box for a 2007 chrysler 300? I am having a tough time with this one. the guy wants a box for two kicker 12" l5's he has a prefab box which when the trunk is open sounds great from behind and when inside the cabin you cant hear anything! with the trunk closed obviously. He wants a port through the rear deck through the stock subwoofer mounting area. Im limited to using only one 6 inch aero and the box dimensions being 32x17.5x13. that is what *****! here is a sketch up i did which comes out to a whopping 2.95 ft^3 before displacement :crap:. this guy want to keep it at 13 inches deep. someone please help me out with this design!

here is the design. i measured the trunk out and this will fit. it slants up like the trunk from 13-20 inches 4 inches in

Can't work miracles with no space. Plain and simple.

x2.

6" aero isn't enough for 2x 12" L5's... and I'm not sure, but 3 cubed before displacement isn't enough either.

As NG said: can't work miracles.

EDIT:: He might as well just use one, and sell the other and get a bigger amp.

Looks like enough space for a single 12 though...

It'd be better to do the pair sealed...

Yep, but it'd still be too smal...

Yuck :crap:...like what was said above, without space it simply cant happen and be any kind of decent enclosure

Id say build the box at 2.95 cubic feet sealed and put a pound of Polyfill in it.

just build what he wants... If he is paying and wont take any advice then give him what he ask for...

These.

Try to explain to him. If not, just do what he wants.

Sounds like he is a dummy.

Tell him 1 ported > 2 sealed and choked on too little air. Get him convinced to run a bigger box? Better bass for him is better advertising for you :fyi:

You got a loud large box? Let him hear that. He will be convinced.
