I've got a 15" type r and am building a box, I was wondering what a reasonable tuning frequency would be for listening mostly to music (as opposed to bass testers) without sacrificing SPL?

You're always going to be making a trade off with SPL and SQ. But, I agree with Skip, 35hz tends to be a good daily tuning.

I'm not trying to act oldschool. Type R questions have to be the most common question on this forum.

Would there be a significant decrease in SPL if i had it tuned to 25Hz (it looks like i'm probably following the crowd and going 34)
