component systems???

are component systems counted as a total of 4 channels because the tweeters are separate? or do you just count the whole component system woofer and tweeter as a single speaker? so if i had components in the front, and coaxials in the back would i need a 6 channel amp or a 4 channel? HELP!!! :confused:

each mid + tweet would equal one channel if you are using a passive crossover.. without the crossover, you would need a channel to run each speaker

and odds are you need a 4 channel amp..

do you know if the crossovers in the infinity reference 5020cs 5-1/4" components are passives?

almost every prebuilt component set comes with a passive crossover.. coaxs usually have them too, they're usually just hidden or on the side of the speaker, but usually are alot simplier.. (there are exceptions tho)
