i have never been to a comp in my life..dont really kno what bass race is and how they measure the db's (as in what makes it go up and down),

so what makes a person being able to compete...how good does their stuff gotta be in order to compete..i kno there are classes and stuff..

so point to make is... how would my 15 inch soundsplinter do with 1000 at a competition. there is one coming soon near hear a small and local one and was wonderin if i should or just stay away and watch and not get laughed at LOL

Drag is like a drag race, You pull up in the lane, They have 2 side by side. Wait for the start guy to start you and let her wang. You have 30 seconds to post your best score and the usually have a monitor up with lane 1 and lane 2. The winner has the highest number of course.

I hit a 142.1 usaci with those 800 watts I was talking about earlier in a trunk.

The 800 is a guestimation. It's a kenwood kac and I guess they are over rated a bit.

dbDrag is basically who can get loudest in there class. you have to figure out what class you are in my looking at the matrix on the dbdrag web site here is the link http://termpro.com/dbdrag/rules/ . also look threw the rules to make sure you are not cheating...lol. bass race is more dependent on the skill of the person to control there system. in bass race you go head to head with another person to to see who can get the highest average db playing music with out over shooting. the classes are divided in too 120-129.9 130-139.9 and so on.

its not that bad really. when you get to the comps they explain everything and they ask for what you're running and put you in a class depending. they are actually pretty fun even if you aren't hitting any high numbers. my first comp jake from crossfire just told me to go into bass race and i had no idea what it was so i just did it. then i come to find out i should have just gotten in outlaw like everyone else. so i had no idea what i was doing but they explain everything to you there so just go and have fun

do it you've got nothing to lose. just go have fun you shouldn't get laughed at cuz everyone just brings what they bring and have fun with it. plus it's bad *** to check out what everyone else is running and all the different set ups

I wouldn't enter unless you know ur system.

Know where you peak at hz wise and what to burp at.

Sux dbdrag is ur first comp. They have a tonnn of rules, you'd prolly be in a big class.

I don't think you get 2 runs in db drag , could be wrong .

But if you do see if they have a CD than ask if there's a sweep on it, than for first run, run the sweep at about half volume and when it over ask where you peaked at

Than go to that number and full tilt it.

Be your best bet if its first time

The best advice is to be sociable and meet people who have done it before. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Watch how the other guys are doing it. Talk to the judges ahead of time and get the basic rules.
