Component install ??

Picked up a set of Polk DB651s for my 2005 Chevy crew cab and want to get a set of 6501s for the front replacements. will I have to make new holes for the tweeters or will the stock location work? Where is the best place to mount the cross-overs for this application?

I had the same truck a couple years ago, I had to drill a hole in the panel to mount the tweeter next to the mids in the door behind the grill. Theres is plenty of room in there.

I put my crossovers under the center console.

Don't have the center console. Bad idea to mount cross-overs in the doors? Yes , I have never done this before.lol. Not sure where I would put them otherwise.
